Begin your day early with a sunrise game drive and breakfast, then start the overland journey toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This natural corridor is known for its year-round wildlife and changing scenery from flat savannah to lush highlands.

En route, enjoy on-the-move game viewing, stopping for photo opportunities and a picnic lunch. You’ll reach your mid-range accommodation in Karatu or near the Crater rim by late afternoon, just in time to relax and unwind.

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari in what is often called the eighth wonder of the world. This lush volcanic bowl supports a dense population of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, flamingos, lions and with luck, the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, then begin the drive to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. Depending on your plans, we’ll transfer you to your hotel, the airport, or assist with your connection flight.
