Your journey begins with a comfortable morning transfer from Moshi or Arusha. As you approach the eastern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, the landscape transitions into rich forested valleys, open farmlands, and scattered wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled you’re likely to spot olive baboons and colorful birdlife along the way.

Upon arrival, you'll take a short guided walk to the edge of the Lake Chala caldera, where stunning views of the turquoise lake stretch before you. Surrounded by tropical vegetation and steep crater walls, the lake offers a calm, dreamlike atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Tanzania.

Guests can relax by the water, swim in the crystal-clear lake, or go canoeing (optional) to experience the stillness of the lake from a different perspective.

Later, enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch by the lakeside, with fresh air and views of surrounding nature. After lunch, soak in the tranquility or take a brief nature walk before beginning your return journey. Weather permitting, you'll end your trip with views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak, glowing in the afternoon light.

Return to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha by early evening, recharged and inspired.
